Me And My Demons

This is how I'm feeling after my marriage breakup, going from a happy family of 4 to slowly losing my family one by one.


We Were A Foursome
Together As One,
Laughing And Joking,
And Having Fun,

At The Foot
Of The Rainbow,
Where We Stood Proud, 
Jumping And Playing
And laughing Out Loud.

But Then Something Happened,
The Four Became Three,
Im Still Not Sure Why,
Perhaps It Was Me..

Time Moved Along
The Rainbow Still Bright
Gradually Without Warning,
I Endured A Fright,

As Time Carried Forward
Four Became Two,
I Had No Idea
What I Was To Do

Ask Me Now,
I Still Couldn’t Say,
I Tried My Best,
But That Wasn’t Ok

Well As You Can Imagine,
Or As You May See, 
That To This Day,
It’s Really Hurt Me..

It Keeps Me Awake,
And Hurts Deep Inside,
It Twists At My Heart,
And Tugs At My Pride..

The Rainbow We Stood On,
All That Time Ago,
Is Starting To Change,
Is Starting To Go..

The Warm Summer Sun,
Is On Its Way To
A Dark Winters Night,
Instead Calling For You,

The Clouds And The Moon,
The Cold Air
And The Whistling Breeze,
I Run And Hide,
And Sink To My Knees,
I Crouch Down In A Corner,
And Hope It’s A Dream,
I Hold My Ears,
I Just Want To Scream,
I Open My Mouth
But Nothing Comes Out,
I Just Want To Scream
I Just Want To Shout..

I Can Hear Voices
There Whispering To Me,
I Open My Eyes
But There’s Nothing To See..

Is It All Real,
Or Is It Just Me
As I Decide,
And Figure Things Out
A Voice In My Ear
Tells Me Not To Shout,

“We Are Your Demons,
Your Pain And Your Sorrow,
And We Will Be Here
To See You Tomorrow”

The Sun Has Now Gone,
The Rainbow Too,
The Demon Whispers Again,
Now It’s Just Me And You.
