Broken Promises

like water from the sky, you fell...
forgetting about everyone and everything...
it was the only time you ever felt free..
the only time you've ever felt alive...
he told you that you were the only girl for him...
it was a promise.. and he swore that he'd keep it..
so you let your guard down and gave him your heart...
the only thing that was truly yours but now, it was also his..
you were so caught up in the moment, you forgot about one thing...
hitting the ground...
one minute, you had everything you've ever wanted
and the next, it was all taken away from you...
now, each day you die inside...
you hide behind walls hoping that he'd one day take you back.
but knowing that the one guy you've ever loved doesnt care about you anymore,
leaves you feeling empty and broken...
they laugh and say i told you so... but they dont understand..
now they're just waiting for you to go crazy so that they can
prove to the world that you have finally lost your mind....
