Soul Dependence

I’m bitter, broken, used up and run dry
I’m foolish, foolhardy, harsh and apologetic
I’m torn, shredded, burned and thrown away
I’m feared, loved, seen and misunderstood

What can I say to  make you see me
What can I see to make you say yes
What can I hold to make you lay down
What can I leave to make you give up

I’m not alright, I’m spinning in so many circles
I’m a sucker for the way you see right through me
I hide behind the veil that’s so polluted and corrupted
You’re not mine to lose, You always remind me

My head is killing me, Slowly and so silently
No one knows who I hold within my heart
Yet they always tell me to let them go
How could I forget those who made me

I depend on the pain to tell me I’m alive
I depend on the loss to tell me I’m alive
I depend on the rain to tell me I’m below
I depend on the hell to tell me I’m below
