Adverse Thoughts
Tears stream down my face like obscure rivers
flowing down my cheeks ever so steadily
thoughts keeping racing through my mind
antagonizing me to the point of insanity
cutting through my heart as if they have no remorse
tearing at my soul like a violent wind
alone...
it seems as if im trapt in a somber existence
causing affliction to build a wall around my heart
while agony is hemorrhaging through my veins
relinquishing all my hopes and dreams
I can only handle so much
I can only do so much
I can only give so much
I can only take so much
I close my eyes
my reality is fading...

stop, breathe, cry... live

Perhaps in the third line "Tears *keep* racing"
But I like the way you described the tears in such a poetic manner.
However, the second stanza is my favorite. Beautiful.

Thank you very much! That would sound good that way too, but I wanted to get the point that the thoughts in my mind were antagonizing me.
