I Wish
In response to BlackSoul's "Crime"
l wish I were in that position.
Unexpected escape route,
pardoned from a sentence
of marital description.
That first walk into sunlight.
I wish I were in that position,
with no question of sentiment;
such a betrayal
I would welcome with glee.
Fate deals a lucky hand.
I wish I were in that position,
eggshells going untrodden,
freeflowing conversation;
from despicable crime
comes promise of freedom.
I wish I were in that position,
criticising eyes no more.
To be violently alone;
happy with my hurt.
Alive instead of... This.
I wish I were in that position,
the future still unwritten;
and the blessed mystery
of life in transition.
"You are now free to go."
Oh I wish I were in that position.
