Battle not with monsters
Maybe I do need drugs to get through the day
Since they were the only things keeping the nightmares at bay
Maybe I do need to drown my emotions with drinking
Or really anything to prevent me from thinking
Maybe I do need to light up and smoke weed
Or maybe compassion and understanding are all I truly need
