Wasting Away
Not living life
just barely getting by
watching the clock tick
as the world passes by
I sit alone and I cry, as i'm watching you die
you're wasting away, day after day.
twiddling down to nothingness
killing yourself for sympathy
I beg and i plea, just put the pills down
and soon you will see
there is other ways of getting attention
that don't cause indignation or tension
all this negativity is just to much to bear
you cause so much pain, so much strife
it hurts deep in my soul, I have no control
but don't for one second say that I dont care
about you and your life,
your existance, your worth
after all you're the woman
who gave birth
to me, I can't gaurantee
that I'll be perfect
just know i love you
and your life is worth it.
think of what you have
and what we wont if you're gone
It's scary to think, that I'm losing my mom
If I could sustain, I'd gouge out your pain
hold it deep inside of my veins
and set you free from your chains
I'd gladly take the reigns
to have my mother back
to how she used to be
so she could live and love life
as it should be. .
so I can live life
not by just barely getting by
or watching the clock tick
as the world passes her by
so I dont have to sit back
and watch my mother die
