A Smile
A smile to hide the day
And give the proprietor some rest
A smile to soothe the beast
And rest the wolves in his head
A smile to those that belong
And save them from everything that’s wrong
A smile to turn away
The buzzards and vermin that come to prey
A smile to conquer the night
And beseech God
To make it all right

That was a beautiful poem and yes a smile can brighten up someone's day and take away the distracting pain
