Moving on, leaving one

Sister I find it easier to live today,so
Forgive me for passing you by.
Your brothers' weight has finally been replaced,
though I didn't leave you alone to die.
I was your fate, you took my place, so
forgive me for passing you by.
The burden of proving them wrong didn't get me far this time.
