The Bully
The bully gets under your skin
He fights and claws, all with a grin
He’ll shove your face into the mud
He’ll make your new shirt stained with blood
The weaker child runs away
While wishing he had words to say
The teachers seem like they don’t care
The victim’s life seems so unfair
The bully has learned from his dad
Who beats his mom at night real bad
He watches her fall to the ground
His father kicks his mom around
The one who’s picked on has no friends
They will watch but not defend
His parents tell him to fight back
He’ll clinch his fist, but then retract
The bully picks on him for years
Causing one too many tears
When he grows tall he’ll take revenge,
He’ll take his head and then his limbs
The bully’s blood will drop like rain
Every drip will replace pain,
Pain and poor and poverty
Those are not what kids should be
As years pass, torment does grow
The child has plans of his own
Tomorrow he will graduate
But tonight, a life he’ll take
He creeps up to the bully’s home
Armed with nothing but a bow
He sees the ones who live inside
But hears the hate that does abide
He sees the dad’s empty beer cans
He sees his fists and where they land
He watches from the cold outside
He takes his bow and makes his mind
Pulling back upon the string
It is too late to change a thing
The dad will pay, he’ll split his bones
His death will mend this broken home
The arrow flutters through the air
It pins the man into his chair
His shoulder then his knee caps breaks
Three arrows for the beating’s sake
The fourth does enter through the jaw
The bully comes down from the hall
He sees his dad and what is done
He sees the person leave and run
The bully takes off in the rain
If he finds him he’ll make him pay
The weak one turns and points his piece
As the bully hits his knees
“I came tonight to take you down,
To watch you bleed and hit the ground”
The bully then began to see
The hatred that was his to be
As he confessed about his guilt
His black rose began to wilt
The bully rose and walked back home
He told the cops he didn’t know
Those two kids did become friends
The weak one did so much for him
The bully turned his life around
Because the culprit’s six feet down
He fights and claws, all with a grin
He’ll shove your face into the mud
He’ll make your new shirt stained with blood
The weaker child runs away
While wishing he had words to say
The teachers seem like they don’t care
The victim’s life seems so unfair
