Drift
Pick me out of the surf
Life, the sponge
Can I drift between your worlds?
This black fish, I swam with whales
Let me sail
North and south
Find myself in your stars
An ocean the escape
Breathe my air
Drift this life, drown in the view
An ocean home. Along the shore
I can believe a dream
A dream thats real
This surf, The drift
a stranded front
Ocean view, wake me in the morning
Pillowed sails
break my dawn, travel me home
I write these dreams on canvased ink
Feet too tired to swim or sink
I found whats mine beneath the sand
So it could cover up again,
away these fickle things
Can I find who I am
Hear on this beach white sand
Do I fear the the trees? The sea? The land?
Can I lock you in to where I stand
Just to dream again?
Life, the sponge
Can I drift between your worlds?
This black fish, I swam with whales
Let me sail
North and south
Find myself in your stars
An ocean the escape
Breathe my air
Drift this life, drown in the view
An ocean home. Along the shore
I can believe a dream
A dream thats real
This surf, The drift
a stranded front
Ocean view, wake me in the morning
Pillowed sails
break my dawn, travel me home
I write these dreams on canvased ink
Feet too tired to swim or sink
I found whats mine beneath the sand
So it could cover up again,
away these fickle things
Can I find who I am
Hear on this beach white sand
Do I fear the the trees? The sea? The land?
Can I lock you in to where I stand
Just to dream again?
