What I Used To Be
Fallen from my gilded perch
I wallow in the filth of
The human cesspools littered about
Scratching through the petri dish of broken wills
Like a drowning man
I swallow the bile
Trying to catch my breath
Trying to stay alive
Trying to satiate the need
Infected I fight less everyday
Until I finally give up and
Succumb to the human disease of immorality
To feed the demons within
Till they are engorged and
I am but a glimmer
Of what I used to be
