Ocean's Temptation
The wind Gently blows through my hair.
Standing with my arms spread out at the ledge of the cliff.
My thoughts swirl around in my head, like they are being carried by the wind.
I think of the water down below.
I hear its crashing waves calling to me.
beckoning me, telling me to take just one more step.
To let the chilly water comfort me.
Take away my fears.
It Tempts me more with every lurking wave.
I can see my life travelling in the waves, all my pleasant memories.
I take these last few steps and my sweet memories disappear.
The icy water steals my last breath,
leaving me fighting for air.
Fighting to reach above water,
the darkness tugs at me with its greedy fingers,
pulling me under,
into the black depths where nothing good lives.
The ocean beckoned me and I answered its call.
Now I rest beneath the deep blue.
Rotting away.
Forever alone.
