Gone
Watching as the wax slowly dries,
sealing her thoughts away.
The night sky seem to cry along with her.
Letter upon letter,
the words don't come out right.
Her tears slowly spill across her cheeks,
on to yet another piece of crumpled paper.
Salt water smears her clumsy scrawl.
Black like her makeup,
that's laced in her tears.
Staining her eyes grey.
She can't come to grasp the fragile truth.
He's gone.
sealing her thoughts away.
He's gone.
