WISH FOR HONEYMOONING FRIENDS

(This is not about anyone I know but an idea for such a wish.  Inspired by the text from Genesis 2 verse 24:
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.)

I wish you newly-wed bliss
In fulfilling Genesis
Second chapter, verse two-four,
Now you’re united by law.

Let your bodies follow suit
In the ultimate salute
That you can give each other
‘Twixt Beloved and Lover.

Let new hidden depths be found
As walls echo with your sound.
Be at one, in your own skins,
As your married life begins.

So, be duly excited
As, bodily united,
Inner needs that have ‘kept mum’ -
Let them to the surface come.

Your personal physicians
Have told you of positions;
Honeymooners, take time to
Find the ones that best suit YOU!
