One minute you can be totally relatable
The other completely debatable
My view of you is interchangeable
Deciphering you I'm incapable
I'm here thinking there's connection
Then you don't pay attention
To everything that I mention
And it only causes tension
Then I remember the nights
Where you did everything so right
Gave attentiveness that I liked
Thought we were passed this point of life
I can be hard to follow
A lot at once I know
So much info to swallow
But where the hell do you go?
We lose each other in the midst
Of all the details that you've missed
Along with when I don't get the gist
And it's fucked up isn't it?
I try to get us back on track
But your statements are completely wack
And I'm wondering if it's fact
That we might always be like that
You say things I've never said
It completely hurts my head
Your explanations just fall dead
With no clarity it can't end
You ask questions and I answer
But it's like it doesn't matter
When you don't listen it just shatters
Any hope I have for after...

But grrr

I want to break the mold
And not be controlled
By this confusion I hold
Ignore what my mind's told
Find a way to get it right
Try too hard perhaps I might
Potential keeps it alive
But how long can it truly survive?
I'll probly just put it off
Till the next time we get caught
In this web because it's not
Something that's entirely your fault
Or so I'd like to believe
But thoughts can deceive
Am I building you up to be
Something you never can mean to me?
When something happens so rare
It's easy to not want to care
Because with understanding in the mix
There's always a chance that it could fix
One day we'll break or grow
Until then, I guess I'll go
Looking for something that may never be found
