The Villain's Cliche Monologue Before the Hero Breaks Free.
Running around like a chicken with my head cut off.
I could still move my arms and legs for quite an amount of time,
And I wouldn't have to think or worry.
Why aren't the chickens born without their fucking heads?
Maybe it is the fact that the Creator enjoys seeing things writhe in pain, maybe it is the fact that we need a brain so we can feel fear right before we end up without it.
Give it to me and take it right away.
I've been stepping on toes since I'd first learned to walk.
I have listened to music that trains you how to be upset about things that you'd never ever notice unless you were all alone in the dark.
Am I the only one who has been sitting in this goddamn room,
or am I just the only one who admits defeat under the tiniest tidbit of pressure?
There's a man standing over there.
He's been through the works, and yet he continues to watch and relive everything he's seen.
Not out of spite of what's been happening, mind you.
He does it to let you know that it's okay to feel like you're not.
And maybe that's what came first before the chicken or the egg.
Maybe there was a little pain given to the world just to prove to us that all our pain will be taken away someday.
