Abuse must cease
Abuse must Cease!
Another slap . Another bruise . It's an emotional roller coaster that never seems to stop . Apologies . Roses . Chocolates . And kisses . But a broken heart is simply a broken heart .
Break ups . Make ups . More kicks . More punches . More bruises . It feels like a nightmare that never ends .Still you fantasize of a perfect life . A life that's worth living . A life that can give you some happiness .
You need to be strong . Strength would be able to give you the power you need to survive the hell you are in .He said he loved you . He said he'll never hurt you . He whispered sweet nothing's In your ear.
Those words he promised were useless . No one saw when you overdosed on pills to take the pain away . No one saw when he shoved his knee into your stomach while you were five months pregnant .No one saw the devastation in your eyes .
You did not choose to be a punching bag . You chose love . But love was not enough .In your heart . You knew that the relationship you were in was toxic . It was like poisonous venom seeping into the very depths of your soul.
So one day she decided to leave . She decided to leave all her troubles behind .She ran . She ran away from the worries and pain . She ran and never turned back . She left the abuse and low self esteem that almost made her heart bitter .
Now she knows true happiness .She is not afraid anymore to live . She is free . Free from the evil past . And she is no longer a slave in captivity . Freedom is sweet . And she no longer has to fear for her life .The chains of negativity and mind control have been broken.
Finally .She has been made whole .Her wounds are now healed .Her scars are almost gone from her heart .Now she is a wife . A mother . And a grand mother . She is a living testimony . And she is now living .Life has been good to her . And she is no longer a slave to her abusive past.

The second half is better than the first because it uses some interesting images, drawn from such stuff as poision and slavery, and ideas, like love not being enough. To make this a poem I'd recommend making each sentence its own line and focusing less on direct rhetoric. Be subtle, tell a story, convey your woman's suffering with precise images, metaphors, similes etc. It's not enough to tell a story, you have to SHOW it. The roundabout way, in evocation and implication, is where art lives.

Domestic violence needs to be addressed as much as possible. Its all about having someone they can control. Nd having power. Nice poem
