My best Friend
The wife that I married
More than fifty years ago
Is still the best friend that I have
Love continues to grow
We have been lucky with our life
And have a close relation
With our daughters and grandsons
Beyond expectation
We encourage them with what they do
And support them when needed
They return the compliment
No cry for help unheeded
To stay friends you must try
To adjust expectation
You both will change as time goes on
Accept some adaptation
