The angel of the midnight moon
The angel of the midnight moon
Casts tranquail spells
On the silent stillness of the streets
As i wander down lonely lanes
My spirit fills with joyful flames
No prison cell nor rented shack nor a house upon hill
All I have is song for midnight moon
And pavement beneath my feet
I sing of squandered love and drunken nights
And words I failed to write
I know she listens for she's my friend
That angel of the midnight moon
Casts tranquail spells
On the silent stillness of the streets
As i wander down lonely lanes
My spirit fills with joyful flames
No prison cell nor rented shack nor a house upon hill
All I have is song for midnight moon
And pavement beneath my feet
I sing of squandered love and drunken nights
And words I failed to write
I know she listens for she's my friend
That angel of the midnight moon
