Long Gone
Into the eyes of a girl long gone
Soul searching gone terribly wrong
The need for answers led her desire to learn
The path of self-destruction is a road with no turns
Far from home, a heart was strewn
Out on the streets, out on her own.
Unspeakable acts, permanent mistakes
More lies to tell, more smiles to fake.
Whispers believed;
An innocent minds been deceived.
She still holds the key to her heart
But the lock has been torn apart.

She doesn't understand that the key is useless. it no longer has a purpose, but she still believes that since she has the key she is in control of her heart.

Control...can be a sanctuary..or a cage. Running wild can lead us to a cliff or better places, we can never know...and that's the fun of it all :)
