Red Jacket

I watched you crumble in your red jacket
Looked and looked through a ragged empty pocket

Leave the darkness sit by its throne
It's not the life you've thrown
It's not the love you've grown
It's what you haven't shown
Yet

With you next to my little redish railroad tracks
We talked and talked about the lies and stacks

Leave the patients heal all impaired
It's not the time you've spared
It's not how long you've stared
It's what you have been scared of

I am scared of staring at the things I've spared throughout, thoroughly, holy
I have lived all the loving you had never thrown me, homesick, shown me
