Broken Addiction

Trips to the lake, they never seemed so fake
Now every time I pass by, I wonder why
Why you lied, why I cried
Why everything had to die

Every memory now cuts so deep
We can only run up a hill so steep
It's like I'm asleep and your reaping
I can't forget what we went through
You left, I bid you adieu

You broke my heart and you ran away
You broke my heart, I'm here to stay
You broke my heart, I can't take another day
You broke my heart and now you'll pay

Remember back to the night, the night we said three words.
You said you meant it when you spoke it
But now, looking back
I wish you never said it, I wish I never thought it

You were my world
Now your my curse
You were my luck
Now your my failure

You broke my heart and you ran away
You broke my heart, I'm here to stay
You broke my heart, I can't take another day
You broke my heart and now you'll pay
