My Sorrow Weeps

my sorrow weeps with a quiet calm
as anxious dread builds
my heart sings a woeful song
and my memories set to kill

I withdraw once again
from the the ones that I love
and unconsciously shift my focus
to the ones that I’ve lost

my sadness cries with sobbing pain
anxiety continues to grow
my heart beats a steady ache
as my thoughts feed my sorrow

once again I’m absent
to the world that I love
my eyes are seemingly vacant
as I sit in sombre alone

my sorrow weeps and my sadness cries
as anxiety and dread fill my chest
my heart sings to my woeful mind
a steady beat of pain and unrest
