I come to you
i come to you with my sorrows, you hold my hand and say
this world is better off with you, cant you just stay
i run to the other room crying, counting down the tears
wanting to end the urges, wanting to end the fears
you come to me with trials, bloodstains on your hands
you're beautiful despite them, trials gave to you your brands
stay with me a little longer, we'll make it through the night
hold my hand, dont fear my darling, we can make it through alright
with uncertainty and confusion, i look you in the eyes
ive seen too much of darkness and know which is truth or lies
i jump at every noise, i retreat with every fright
it isnt weakness driving my actions tonight
with great care and tenderness, i reach to pull you near
cleanse you of your every heartache, wipe your eyes of every tear
never have you known your worth, though like rubies your blood shines
never have i seen such sorrow, or a prize so pure and fine.
wanting to cling to this moment, keep it safe from all this pressure
clouded with fear, i wear a smile and frown twisted together
running out of words to say, confused of my standing
i close my eyes to the world and listen to the silver underlining
never fear, oh precious though your hands are made of clay
though you slip and fall, dont worry, for in my arms you will stay
never worry, fret or ponder all the things you could never do
they dont matter here in my arms, with faith, my love will see you through
clothing protects us, it guards against the day. when some cruel person harms us. when they take our joy away....
