(untitled 24)
Your icy hands rip open my chest
Grasping my heart in the palm of your hands
Extracting the life from every beat
Making me less of a man
My deep breathes can be seen clearly
As if standing naked on a cold winters day
My eyes turning a vibrant blue
As the life you’ve given has its way
The blood in my veins flow slower
There isn’t much feeling left
I love you barely escapes in a whisper
As you deliver your pleasant kiss of death
I’ve tried to prepare myself for this
Thought I was stronger than most
As your crippling touch takes hold
This shell of a human transferring into a ghost
As I embrace my new form
I close my eyes to break our stare
I was hoping you’d show mercy
Yet your fingernails continue to tear
To think I was alive before
I must have been clinically insane
To think that being a part of you
Would leave nothing of me to remain
My reflection blends with the darkness
As your vicious torture rips on through
You took your love away and gave me this
Forgive me if I don’t thank you.
Grasping my heart in the palm of your hands
Extracting the life from every beat
Making me less of a man
My deep breathes can be seen clearly
As if standing naked on a cold winters day
