A Rainy Day

 
You wake up feeling so dull and lonely,
You searched around and the room is empty,
Over the window the clouds are gray,
Atmosphere is cold, it’s a gloomy day.
 
After a li’l while it started raining,
Creating a loud sound on you ceiling,
And while outside it’s heavily pouring,
Deep inside you sad memories started flowing.
 
An excruciating past still haunting you,
Like a shadow wherever you go,
A nightmare you’re trying to forget,
Giving you nothing but resentment.
 
Bad memories slowly flashing back,
Thoughts which bring you emotional attack,
The noisy raindrops can’t stop you from thinking,
Even the cold air can’t freeze you from aching.
 
Those times you were left alone and neglected,
And it felt you were being deserted,
You wanted to escape, runaway and hide,
But had no choice and continue your life.
 
You started going out in crowded places,
Being surrounded by new different faces,
Even you’re in a room full of strangers,
No one can give what your heart desires.
 
Like a lost kid in the middle of nowhere,
Like a puppy abandoned by its owner,
Like a beggar asking for help but none offered,
You’re screaming for love but no one bothered.
 
You can see it playing on your mind clearly,
As if you’re watching a drama on T.V.,
You can feel the agony as fresh as before,
You can sense the pain coming from your core.
 
You noticed that that outside heaven’s still crying,
Total darkness covering the surrounding,
You smiled at yourself, realized something,
That behind the clouds, the sun still shining.
 
You have to stop yourself clinging on yesterday,
Past is past and you must focus on today,
If you consider today as a rainy day for you,
Have faith, sun will surely rise up tomorrow.
