IN THE NAME OF LOVE

She was a diva caught in the wrong man’s world who never appreciated her worth
Spent most part of her life hurting’ living with a man who treated her like dirt
Blinded by love doing all she could to please him, everyday hoping it will work
First cut they say is the deepest’ I guess she was dumb from the start
It was her first time falling in love; she was generous’ giving out all her heart
Inexperienced and innocent she was, she kept enduring & tolerating his foolish acts
He wasn’t truthful & faithful but she wouldn’t leave him even when she had enough facts
Lying and cheating on her constantly everybody knew he was playing her for a fool
Most times he left her lonely when she needs him most; she never complains but keeps cool
Praying every night with her tears soaking her pillow hoping he would become a better man
Kept her role playing as the submissive, forgiving and caring type but he wouldn’t understand
Held captive by her gullible emotions, with no friends to share her pains she was made an island
Frustrations and discontent weighed heavy a burden on her chest she was dying quietly in pains
When most times her life was threatened by his brutality she couldn’t break free from his chains
Fears reigned in her mind about deserting him coz she felt she was committed to him so much
She kept hanging on to his empty promises of him turning a new leaf when ain’t anything as such
His mind was never with her for real he only thought of her when he needed someone to touch
The knowledge of preventive measures for unwanted pregnancy she was totally not aware
Eager to satisfy his urge ignoring the protrusion with a baby in her womb which began to appear
One morning her man woke up by her side only to realize he wasn’t prepared to father a child
In his utter dismay he was furious with her for taking in’ he flared up in violent anger going wild
The unwarranted and cruel assault on her was severe so much she slipped into coma that day
In his state of confusion he was frightened to death not knowing how to revive her in anyway
He packed up his little belongings & fled without remorse leaving her in a hapless & pitiful state
You better wake up take charge of your life; decide what is best for you before it’s too late
