The night the stars came out to play,    
beneath the moon we chose to lay..    
Side by side our hands entwined,    
star gazing together, our smiles combined.    

Clear, like the nights sky our love broke through,    
across the fields with grazing cows, to find, me and you.  
   
You took my heart that very night,    
when you whispered I love you,  
On the breeze,    
no one in sight,    
   
accompanied by a moo or two  
   
You squeezed my hand,    
I needed that touch,  
our thoughts were in tune,    
It all seemed too much..    
    
My tears were waiting,  
right on cue,    
side by side,    
Under the stars,    
Is where I whispered,  
I love you too.
