Jimi
1959, birth of the greatest
kick off to the legendary status.
THE fella loved to air guitar along with the
GREATEST records played on the radio but the
GUITARIST in him never woke up till he found a ukulele
in a garbage bin
EVER since then he began playing Presley's hits
on just its one string
he hit and he hit , from a ukulele to an acoustic
but can't get enough he wanted more of it
His fingers were dying to get the beast
hunger made his head sore with all the tunes his ears
had seized
Then came '59 , his father gave him a single pick up
elec.
Although it wasn't the exact one he had dreamt
he couldn't resist , the amps amplified his emotion
devote of his own feelings , not even a MACHINE GUN
could shatter his notion.
His days were gloomy , doomed by PURPLE HAZE
but starvation wasn't an obstacle for the countless
hours he played
alone with the BURNING OF THE MIDNIGHT LAMP
"kiss me" said his frets when his fingers caught cramp
now where he once sat is where they all stand
everybody who came before and after him was just his
VOODOO CHILD
coz his howling seems echoing even now when THE
WIND CRIES.
six was too less for him to rip ,what if 6 WAS 9.
Notes he strummed was the world through his lens
I wish I had born a bit earlier to get THE EXPERIENCE
but its sad that he left us all at twenty seven
but WHO KNOWS he might be right now rocking out
heaven
oh that mystical image in my mind,
Jimi with his LITTLE WING
enjoying the flames on his six string.
