Little Girl
A little girl, single mom
Living in a house, so coarse
He is a man
The only one in my life
The only one I look up to
They think him a great man
Little do they know what he does
When the demons are out to play
The man they knew is dead
Shrouded by demons, his soul no longer cleansed
The demons inside resurfaced
Beating my battered soul
Touching me inconspicuously
No bruises seen
So no one asks
No one knows that he’s the reason
I’m so hurt, so damaged
They don’t know what he does
When seeing eyes are unseen
His hands crawling with desire
Making their way to where he pleases
And I, the young, unknowing victim
Too young to know,
Too young to scream
If only someone knew
If someone would see
Pants an unyielding barrier
To his wanting hands
When no one’s around
He turns you around
And I, the unknowing victim
Too young to know what he’s doing
Doing what you’re told
You do not tell
He dies a legend
But only few know
Of the demons that took this man’s soul
Who treated you like nothing
And had done you so wrong
Taking your childhood
And your happiness with it
Living in a house, so coarse
He is a man
The only one in my life
The only one I look up to
They think him a great man
Little do they know what he does
When the demons are out to play
The man they knew is dead
Shrouded by demons, his soul no longer cleansed
