Mother's Christmas Blues
I've rushed I've pushed my toes are all crushed
As I stagger from one shop to t’other
For daddy a shirt for mother a skirt
What the hell do I get for my brother?
I've no time to stop though I just want to drop
Oh what do I choose for aunt Lil?
Whatever I buy she’ll always deny
Any present could give her a thrill
And then there’s the kids I’ll be on the skids
With the price of the stuff that they've craved
I've grafted all year to spend it all here
It took all of the cash that I’ve saved
My credit card’s maxed, can’t get my legs waxed
No cash have I left and I fear
January’s chills with the cold and the bills
And start saving for this time next year!
