Toxic Flowers

You seem to have a lot of poems under your belt~ That's very good!

Poems are meant to hold secrets, to contain metaphors for secrets. Like any writing, there must be something deeper if it is to be a great work (from ones own soul,)

Pain and pleasure are a coin, but still on the same object, ya?

Sometimes there can be things
Everyone can see
Creations of art are meant to have meaning
Routine and experience gives this meaning
Eternities of life, give us something to tell
Tons of things have already been made
Secrets are the creators last laugh

While the readers work to unbury the ones meant
to find. Like an archaeologist, digging up the
past.

Poems are not just pretty words slung together  
with thread and string, and they must convey a  
message, or they're no better then a
dictionary.

This poem looked lonely, likely looked over
because the title looked too simple, maybe the
reader already guessed what the poem would be
of?

Anyway, I'ma go creep on the rest of your work,
see what exists.

Thank you for stopping by and I welcome your critiques. I try to convey different points of view in my poems. Toxic Flowers is about the attractions people have to each other and how we use smell and appearance to attract our next victim or mate. I was going through a break-up when I wrote this poem, hence the dark title. I am trying to broaden my scope of writing into the other aspects of life. I usually tend to write darker poems.
