Let's See If I Still Got It
As I dig my fingers into my skin,
I find closure deep within,
Time seems to have formed my memories,
Time helps me forget about the pain with ease,
Today I took a walk to recollect images from my brain,
Pictures of you; they're all the same,
I find myself wide awake at night,
Hoping and wishing I could hold you tight,
But I do not cry,
I do not shout,
Because soon the sun will be about,
Just another day closing to reuniting with my love,
Divine Intervention, a sign from above?
Perhaps if I were a religious man I'd cry in rejoice,
But I'm just as blessed to hear your voice.
