Time ticked away
You look yourself in the mirror.
The person you see standing there is recognizable.
Suddenly, the reflection in the mirror just crumbles away.
You wonder how could you let your life crumble like that?
Everything you ever wanted you had,
Until it all slipped away.
But how could everything just disappear like it was never there?
You have no answers for your questions,
But even if you did you wouldn't know how to explain them.
Tick - tock.
You here the clock.
A spark of hope lights you up.
You hope the clock will have some answers for you.
Tick - tock
There goes the clock.
You run up and down every hallway,
Going in and out of rooms,
But still you find no clock.
Tick - tock
There it goes again,
But this time louder than ever.
You are standing in front of a door,
You put your ear to it.
Tick - tock
The clock is in the room.
You open the door,
And there's the clock.
You run towards it,
And pick it up.
Screaming at the clock you say, " what happened to me?!?"
Tick - tock
That's your reply.
You throw the clock at the wall,
And the tick - tocks stop.
You take a minute to calm down,
And than walk over to the clock to see if you've broken it.
Hovering over the clock thinking its broken
You suddenly notice the clock strike midnight.
You jump back quickly.
Your heart is beating fast.
A red light on the clock catches your eye.
You look over at the clock,
And you see words spelt in red.
"Your time ticked away" is what it said.
Suddenly everything you've ever had,
And everyone you've ever know appears,
But they don't see you.
You look at the clock again,
And in red letters it reads,
"You've died."
Your body has gone cold
And turned pale,
You see the Light,
And you fade away.
Now you rest in peace knowing your time ticked away.
The person you see standing there is recognizable.
Suddenly, the reflection in the mirror just crumbles away.
You wonder how could you let your life crumble like that?
Everything you ever wanted you had,
Until it all slipped away.
