The crisp, cool mountain air
Of the Appalachian
Mountain range
Gives me solitude
Fair exchange
For the loud city life
Most people lead
Busy lives
Scrambling like rats
Feeding greed
Buying useless crap
Pointless luxuries
Showing off for fake people
It's like a sore peter
You just can't beat it

The mountains are my favorite place in the entire world. Very well written. from beginning to end, just brilliance.

Laughed my ass off at this one, good Sir. That's a feisty way to end this, after that beautiful first stanza & the unfortunately true second. I love humorous poetry. Good work, man.

Thanks, man. This was one of my first attempts to diversify, and write something humorous. Guess maybe I should do more upbeat work.
