The Sun's Getting Older
With every lie you set off a storm
And sadness crowds my blood relentlessly
The truth hides behind a drop of gold
There is no reason to mourn, is there?
Retreat your brow and let it hold you
And drop you off
And I know I'll be yours, when you're mine
And I know that I won't be fine
And I know the sun is getting colder
And I know we're getting older
What if you stay here and forget home?
And I wrote a letter for no one and everyone
The fire's slowly burning out on us
What does it take to make you feel scared?
Things won't be ok, but I'll be there anyway
To hold you up
I held a secret in my teeth, but the deal was that you'd never know what's in my mind
And I know I'll be yours, when you're mine
And I know that I won't be fine
And I know the sun is getting colder
And I know we're getting older
