From Across The Room (Trigger warning- abuse)

From Across The Room
I watch
as man turns to beast
ready to feast
upon innocent prey
From Across the room
muffled cries
begging eyes
ignored
to satisfy
its own selfish needs
From Across The Room
I watch
as hero turns to villain
never quite done
its torment
From across the room
I feel
My heart breaking
as my own flesh
and blood
is destroyed
repeatedly
From Across The Room
I glimpse
Unknowingly
into
my own future
Unafraid
because I do not know
any better.
From across the room
I feel
Your gaze
and wonder why
the beast has turned
around
From Across the room
I hear
a clear
NO
in my defense
But never
for your own
From across the room
You watch
as if mirrored
whilst savage attacks
and advantages are taken
behind turned backs
From Across the room
We watch
Each others souls
devoured whole
by a man
No.
Not a man.
-------------------------------
From across the room
sunken eyes
averted
devoid of lies
still perverted
the jig
as they say
is up
From across the room
Hands are shaken
as chains
finally
clasped neatly
around hollow wrists
And everyone insists
It's over now
From Across the room
I taste its fear
and it tastes
so sweet
But will never be
enough
to satisfy
my hunger
for its heart
on a silver platter
From across the room
It sees through
my confidence
and I am 4 again
and it is hurting me again
and will this ever stop again?
From Across the room.
