DISTANT

Rain drops soothing the warm haze of summer,
cool breeze swirls as the trees dance to a melody of life.
winds strong, pushing at curtains hung out to dry,
enter the house of memory,stirring up echoes of the past.
thunder from far away places drown out the drone and monotony
of living,stale air of complacency driven away.
the rain washes away,cleansing the bitter earth,a new beginning
the storm slowly passes,vanishing like dreams
one can't remember..
