Don't Hate Me

As soon as I turn my back, I look over my shoulder.
I may not be a genius, but I know that it's over.
Every night I suffer, every night is getting colder.

I wish there was something I could do.
Something to hope hope for, to make you love me too.
But your eyes communicated my emotional doom.
I hope you're happy, my life is absolutely through.

I wait around where you no longer linger.
Remembering the stone that used to caress my finger.

I plead in my mind, hoping you hear me.
My insufferable kind, I know you can feel me.
I pray for hours, locked on my knees.
I have dreams that you marry her, dreams consumed in my screams.

I don't know how to feel again.
I cant grasp how to resurrect a heart.
The loneliness is crushing, a death I knew would get me from the start.

I'm sorry.
I love you.
Don't hate me.
