Noose Around My Neck Hanging by a Broken Branch
I carry infectious diseases that whisper in your ear
And run out your eyes
Black holes leave no time for goodbyes
And I wonder how long I'll last
With stones turning to sand and no structure intact
Because each minute I remember like a shitty love letter
Crumbled up on the bottom of a shoe box
That no one wants to reread
But I keep coming back to when the darkness finds me
One way glass so only I can see
The fettle position I consider my guard
Rocking back and forth
Trying to shake loose all the ribbons they tied around my noose
Pretty packaging on a killing curse
But they can't see
That's what's worse
I'm using a sun dial on a cloudy day
Guessing at the time and thinking of goodbyes
I'll never get to say
If we're all just broken
Who decided who stays
With bad habits
Pen in my pocket
I think I might have finally
Lost it
And run out your eyes
Black holes leave no time for goodbyes
And I wonder how long I'll last
With stones turning to sand and no structure intact
Because each minute I remember like a shitty love letter
Crumbled up on the bottom of a shoe box
That no one wants to reread
But I keep coming back to when the darkness finds me
One way glass so only I can see
The fettle position I consider my guard
Rocking back and forth
Trying to shake loose all the ribbons they tied around my noose
Pretty packaging on a killing curse
But they can't see
That's what's worse
I'm using a sun dial on a cloudy day
Guessing at the time and thinking of goodbyes
I'll never get to say
If we're all just broken
Who decided who stays
With bad habits
Pen in my pocket
I think I might have finally
Lost it
