The Tight Rope Anchor
When tiny filaments combine
Into one thick rope
The possess the strength to kill
They loop my oesophagus
Constrict and crush
The tiny stool the prevents the snap
Will be kicked out from beneath
By my worst enemy, myself
Atlas yanked from axis
A short drop to forever.
The fall is eternity
A flow around me, tugging my hair
Gripping my soul, my soul
As space fails to grasp the filaments
A single tear falls with me
Now, nothing. Nothing.
Not even dark matter
Silence fails even
And so now the tear is shared
By all those filaments.
Into one thick rope
The possess the strength to kill
They loop my oesophagus
Constrict and crush
The tiny stool the prevents the snap
Will be kicked out from beneath
By my worst enemy, myself
Atlas yanked from axis
A short drop to forever.
The fall is eternity
A flow around me, tugging my hair
Gripping my soul, my soul
As space fails to grasp the filaments
A single tear falls with me
Now, nothing. Nothing.
Not even dark matter
Silence fails even
And so now the tear is shared
By all those filaments.
