Eternity

another soul
for God's collection
another sheep
no longer roams
golden smiles of recollection
for she has finally
made it home

the sky
was a little darker today
the moon
did not shine as bright
somehow so many must find a way
to bring forth tomorrows sunlight

a soul set free
from the bounds of pain
finally able to soar above
with widened eyes
she stands up straight
awash in a sea of love

heavy hearts
and tear drenched eyes
the loss felt so very deep
a family that must say goodbye
so she may rest in peace

the awaiting arms
of those who've passed
to be with those she's lost
across her face a smiles cast
to eternity she has crossed
