Challenge
Challenge
I challenge you to come out of your box,
To make a move that is not in your character to make
I challenge you to make a choice where the risk outweighs the benefits
I challenge you to be the best of the worst of yourself,
For your words to have substance and to last through time
I challenge you to go the full length of the day without a single lie,
Not even the most insignificant, harmless tall tale, can you be honest?
I challenge you to speak your mind,
For your honesty to be relentless and without fear
I challenge you to bite your tongue,
Silencing your small-minded opinions, minimizing your ignorance’s,
Canceling the stupidity of your gossips
I challenge you to forsake your friends and family,
Step away from their comfort and security,
Stand alone on your own identity, as no more than a single mark on a blank sheet of paper,
Can you survive if they don’t approve of who you are?
Could you continue your existence if they suddenly casted you away?
I challenge you to be yourself, unwavering, stead-fast, and true
To be incorruptible to the closet alliances
In challenging you I challenge myself,
To be without fear of these nouns of our world, our lives, our future
Will we meet this challenge?
And if we do can we continue with consistency?
Or will we simply be lost to this impossibility?
