I write
Therefore I am
My words are me
And not the man
My skin holds life
And death you see
But words
They touch eternity
My words they hold
My very soul
The me from now
And days of old
The me I hope that I can be
That's trapped by skin
But words
Set free
I write
Therefore I am
In life
I'm just a humble man
My body shall fade
Unto the dust
But words
Words will hold a life for me
A life into eternity
I write
