Their stories been told
Unique was their mold
True love was the hold
as it's once more
too many times
nevermind counting
the mental drifts...
lost unto
a world
alone they'd exist...
the aroma
of their affection
cohabitating in the mist...
bodies entwined
in purest rapture's bliss
two diving sweetly into
one another,
passionately tender
kiss after kiss...
Long live this romance,
the emboldened hearts enlist
That at once united, they stand
as they'd deflect separation's fist...

That's a lovely write,Poe. The last line is my favourite. It packs a certain punch in the whole romance-is-in-the-air feel of the poem although it's based on what used to be...which also has a certain sad undertone to it.
