Strange Addiction

You were my strange addiction.

When I would not speak to you for a short amount of time, I felt like I was going through a withdraw similar to drugs. You were my medicinal marijuana. You made me forget the pain and stress of everything going on in my life.

I was addicted to you. I was hung up on every word that you would say. I was enthralled with the way that you viewed things. I was high off of your laughter and your scent. I was hooked on the sound of your voice and the innocence in your eyes. I was intoxicated off of your thoughts and your values. Every little thing about you, everything, in some way had me wanting more.

But the worst part of being addicted to a person, like being addicted to drugs, is that recovery is the hardest part.

The worst possible thing is trying to rediscover yourself after fighting an addiction.
