It's been a while.

Lone hairs lay across
The cotton desert where
Vultures hunt for the fading
Musk and skin cells
You carelessly left behind

The crater in the mound
Of feathers and thread
Cradles my head uncomfortably;
Ground zero to the meteor
That wiped out all life
When you left
