Can't Believe

Buildings are derelict
Skies polluted, above the sea
Chemical hazard from black to blue
What a mess we've made

No man is perfect
But we only burn away
Scar the world until it bleeds
Beauty is laid to rest

I can't believe
It's not the first time
I've felt weak standing here

I'm pleading now
I'm barely getting over
Stop and tell me I'm wrong

Drain the rivers dry
Collect your weight in gold
Paint the seconds with our blood
Wash your hands clean

We wither the poor
Desecrate a wounded man
Every crown carries the message
Not all is forgiven

I can't believe
It's not the first time
I've felt weak standing here

I'm pleading now
I'm barely getting over
Stop and tell me I'm wrong

Gotta make due now
Can't reverse the damage done
We'll meet out fate together
Into the unknown
