The Beauty and Purpose of a Storm (Credo 1)
The Beauty and Purpose of a Storm- September 6, 2013
(Credo 1)
I believe in the purpose of a storm,
That there is reason for darkened clouds and heavy hearts,
The wind can be cold, ensnaring me in ice
And the weight of a thousand raindrops will drag me down,
Lightning and thunder can shatter my world
And though I may feel I am drowning…
I believe that overcoming the storm is important
In order to grow stronger, to learn
It is not optional; I must persevere through the darkness,
I believe that once the clouds clear away,
the sun will warm me again,
The colors of the rainbow will fill
the once dismal, empty spaces,
I believe a terrible storm can be a beautiful thing.
